Been reading through the hygiene threads and it just amazes me how basic hygiene of taking a shower in the morning, washing your hair and brushing your teeth seems to have faded away?? I make an effort when I visit a lady to make sure I chew gum, have decent clothes on and my hands are clean. No matter how hot the lady, if they aren't clean looking and smelling its the last time I visit them.

@RM thank you for your comments! They are tremendously appreciated. All bed covers were replaced yesterday with brand new covers - brand new towels were purchased a week ago - We shall strive to continously improve and our focus on hygiene will remain.

I've been around for a number of years now and would like to say that VG/MENDS still is the standard for me in which I judge venues locally and internationally. 

Congratulations to the owners for setting and maintaining the bar.

If you're a smoker please don't put NONE SMOKER on your profile it's soo disappointing. I booked Zara recently and her profile said NON SMOKER but OMG I've never experienced such bad hygiene and it felt like I was getting GFE from a real life cigarette😨

Agreed @Mends & @VG my only recommendation is more ladies, more variety please. The cleanliness of the venue/s is outstanding and I have no issues.

I have just read Management's comments in relation to an earlier posting of mine re hygiene at VG and M.
Must say that I was not aware aware at the comprehensive and extraordinary attention given the cleaning of the rooms post visit - and in getting the room ready for the next Client.......
and in even a Front desk inspection! 👏

Thank you so much for this clarification - which is most appreciated - and fully accepted!

Please note that I fully retract my earlier comments made about possible hygiene matters!
And can only wish both venues every success in the world!

Both quality premium venues!
With the quality of therapists the best in Pretoria!

@Boots, while we concede that there are always areas we can improve in our business, comments and feedback need to be fair and accurate. You mention our ladies perform a “cursory tidying up” after the booking  and that the towel clients lie on is only “sometimes” changed.  We’d love to know how you arrive at this conclusion considering you leave after the booking and are not aware of the work that happens once a client leaves.
We are one of the few venues that employ more than one cleaner and after each booking they thoroughly clean each room and thereafter a further room inspection is performed by our front office staff - it’s an entire process that’s worked for years!
Our ladies are in no way responsible for cleaning the rooms after a booking. All towels are replaced and each client receives a new “set of towels”, for his booking. As mentioned, there are many things we could improve upon but hygiene is NOT one of them.
Due to nature of the industry we service, hygiene has always been a priority and we have always focused intensely on ensuring a very high level of cleanliness.
We take exception to your unfounded comments!

I couldn’t disagree more @Boots,   both Mendelssohns and Velvetglow are extremely clean venues. I’ve been a client first at VG and then later also at Mends and I’m always impressed by the level of attention to detail and cleanliness at both venues.

Another issue that bugs me at VG and at M - is at the end of the session there is cursory tidying up done by the lady - and the bottom towel is invariably / always left on the plinth for the next Client to lie on .....
Really bad form..... and certainly not hygienic!
Can't management put out an immediate directive to ensure that NEW towels are used!

One thing that puts me off fast is if I drive into a venue and see towels hanging up.

Please contact our front office if you encounter ANY part of our service that doesn't match up with your hygiene standards. We take a lot of care to ensure that you can eat off the floors at both venues, this is only made possible by employing two full time cleaners.

@Beefco most definitely they do. I was chatting to one of the ladies about this thread and she confirmed they have a WhatsApp group discussing which clients are clean and which ones to avoid. I can respect this considering the service offered.

@Vrikkster its a pity you can't warn others, I'm sure the ladies have an internal communication system to warn one another if roles were reversed.

I recently visited a lady and although the session was entertaining and my expectation was met all I could smell was cigarette, how should I handle this situation best? I don't want to mention names for fear of retribution.
