I can't believe how complicated people make these things. Go one time to the Pakistani shop (any one of them and there are numerous) same time get a SIM card and punting (burner) phone. Load the SIM and charge the phone. Add WhatsApp and save your punting alias onto WhatsApp and that's what comes up on the other side ----- safe as can be! Don't rock up in a marked car with your name and real number on it like I see some clients do when I visit the venues that's asking for trouble! No matter the temptation don't give out your real name and where you work, you would be crazy to do so and will soon get calls from the Nigerians. Its basic maths!

Something to consider and probably the most well-known method for how to make a private call is *67 (not to be confused with *69, which is used to call back an unknown number). To hide your phone number on the Caller ID of the person you're calling, you just dial *67 before you tap in the phone number. Works for me....

Many refuse to answer a call from a caller with a strange name or a call from what looks like someone from an ethnic group they don't see.

Those that don't pick up to verify are definitely missing out. I have a punting sim from the local pakki shop and my name also doesn't come up and if I think it's going to be a problem then I just send a message with my details. If they still don't pick up then its their loss.

Just know that a sim from the Pakistani store is not reca in your name and some ladies won't pick up if a strange name comes up on their side. Its a challenge I had recently.
