Such a touchy subject yet soo damn important especially if you into the GFE service like I am. Would be soo much easier if everyone got themselves tested.

@Spiero that's a bad one but at least you could use penicillin. I'm allergic to penicillin and when I caught the dose I had to try other medications and it took 6 months to clear up. Beware the bareback temptation!

I picked up a case of the dose at a braai a few weekends ago. Met a lady who I'd never met before and she seemed very normal. long story short we ended up at her place and clever me never used protection! 48 hours later I need to take a visit to the quak for a penicillin shot. Wasn't even a girl from the industry.

Can't say Ive ever felt the need fortunately. I use protection and kissing is rare. The ladies are selective with who they kiss and so am I. Touch wood after many years I never had cause for concern.

Had myself tested recently for STD's at my local doctor. He was very understanding and I appreciated that he didn't ask too many uncomfortable questions. He said something at the end of the consultation that made me realise I wasn't alone in my quest to find out my status. 
He said people's busy lifestyles and hi stress levels have resulted in more people having multiple partners and therefore the amount of tests that he's done recently has gone up dramatically. I do use protection but sometimes things get a little hot and messy anyways I'm negative but for those of you who might be worried about taking a test it aint that bad if you have the right doctor.
